This year my littlest 7 yr old Princess Min told me that she wants her bday celebration jst with her immediate fmily at Hard Rock Penang.
No bday party, no mess, no washing up n planning for mommy.
So we spent 2 days n 1 nite at Hard Rock Hotel.
We were greeted by warm n friendly staff at the reception upon chk in.
While waiting for our rooms to b ready, we were invited to the buffet lounge to help ourselves with their simple buffet lunch.( fried rice, pastries, fruits, coffee, tea & juice)
Our room faces the Hard Rock pool n sea. It was upgraded to a Seaview deluxe package.( booked thru Agora)
The hotel interior is nice n unique. Our suite is named Rock Star suite. So one can see many photos of famous rock stars framed n hung on d hotel walls. We had Elvis staring at us when we shower in the bathroom.
My family esp the kids had a splendid time splashing in their outdoor water park ( for kids n ADULTS) as well as at the beautiful n clean beach outside Hard Rock.
Princess Min also received a complimentary 250g choc cake on d hse Frm Hard Rock !!
At night we were at the lobby listening to their live band performing n entertaining us with current hits n oldies!!
The mrning breakfast buffet was sumptuous n has lots of variety Frm western, Chinese & Malay style cuisine.
I am not good with words , do let the pics speak for themselves.
Here are the beautiful memories captured in pics for remembrance of our stay at Hard Rock Penang.
A sincere thks to Hard Rock Penang for making our simple stay a friendly, happy n beautiful one to remember esp for our birthday girl Jasmine.

Restaurant Lil iPoh
Some say the food isn't nice and also expensive ! Some say no value for money because the portion is too small for the big pricing!
My family enjoyed the outdoor ambience instead of dining in the aircond room. The food is pleasant to our taste buds. The fruit juices are ok.
We particularly love the mutton satay... Love the " muttonish flavour" which Chinese says " very Soh". It's Rm1 for per stick of chicken satay & Rm 1.20 for mutton satay!
The most " not value for money" food to order was the Chee Cheong fun!!
Then comes the bill! We had 2 nasilemak rendang chicken, 1 normal Nasi Lemak , 9 sticks mutton satay , 3 sticks chicken satay , 1 Siamese Laksa , 1 Chee Cheong Fun , 1 Ikan Bakar , 4 fruit juices . Total bill ( tax free) comes to about Rm57.00.
Would u say it's reasonable?? The portion is the size of normal hawker food stall portion!!
Not sure if we will dine at this place again because on the whole, I agree the pricing is not pocket friendly!

Good weather ! Good Friday! Good Picnic outing @ Ecopark , Seri Botani.
Tday we had Good weather, good outing, good fellowship at Ecopark Tmn Sri Botani on a Good Friday!!
About 60 plus ppl attended tday's outing inclusive of strokees, carers, volunteers, students and our centre's committee member Mr. Chong & his wife who brought along a friend Mdm L. We carpooled in 9 cars starting from Nasam Perak about 9.15am.
We had simple activities like taking a walk round the lake, feeding fishes & picnic at the Mini Jungle besides singing & fellowship.
Strokee Rahman's wife prepared Nasi kurang Lemak for all who were present while Strokee CSF sponsored kueh and the Su La Chin volunteers bought them mineral water!
Students were extremely helpful in the whole event assisting those more impaired in movements and also helped in transporting plastic chairs and distributing food to participants.
They also entertained the strokees with guitar strumming & singing favourite numbers like The Moon represent my heart ( by Teresa Teng) , you are my Sunshine, Rasa Sayang, etc. Being a rehab therapist, I made the strokees do Chicken dance!
Special Thks to Mr. C for making arrangements for us to enter the park with special passes, without having to park outside the entrance. He also provided some fish pellets for the participants to feed the fishes. One particular Strokee Mr.Leong who had speech impairment ( aphasic) was extremely thrilled and exclaimed with joy when he saw the fishes surfacing to gobble up the pellets threw into the water during the feeding session. It was was such a priceless moment to see his smile!
Everyone had a great time leaving behind their footprints & laughter and taking home sweet happy memories of friendship & fellowship as souvenirs from this outing.
